This works especially well with thick-sliced sugar cured or hickory smoked bacon. Heat your oven to 350. place slices of bacon in a pirex pan. They can touch but not overlap. Bake until you can hear the fat pop when the oven door is closed. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. The cheap bacon will throw off too much grease. In that case use a rack from a roasting pan. This will need mor watching but it can be done. You don't need a grease splattered stove and agitated cook. The bacon comes out nicely crisped with softened fat. Now I'm hungry. Tiffany
